Neil Puttick For Macclesfield, Bollington, Disley & Poynton
Our Area: My Priority
It’s time to speak up for the area we want and a people-friendly politics creating better opportunities, services and quality of life for all.
I’m standing for change: for the many not the few. Building better lives for everyone across our entire constituency.
✓ I stand as someone that listens

✓ At the heart of the community
✓ I stand as someone that will take action

Safeguarding Our Hospital and Fighting For Better Mental Health Services
Ending the uncertainty in our NHS, speaking up for our health professionals, who do such an excellent job. Supporting integrated social care, so our most vulnerable are not abandoned and stepping up our CLP campaign for better Mental Health services. I will campaign to ensure vital services like Maternity and A&E stay open. I will fight to reverse the Conservatives’ privatisation and chronic underfunding.
Supporting Prosperity and the Future of our area
Creating a thriving local economy that works for everyone: helping with cheaper travel, accessible childcare, and investment to train & succeed. Fighting a bad Conservative Brexit (that could cost each person £6 per day) and tax breaks for the richest while debt rises and stopping potential leaving our area. Many working people, including self-employed have been sold a lie: without rights, job security or a pay rise. I will stand for a return of our rights at work, new jobs, social mobility and a real living wage keeping money in our area. Showing that Labour works for business: supporting ideas and initiative, and investing to bring growth, jobs and prosperity. I will speak up for a Macclesfield open to the world, up to the challenges of the future, keeping strong economic links to Europe and opportunities to travel and work.
Supporting our communities
As a Town Councillor, I’ve been responsible for initiatives that bring pride to the town and change the conversation including award-winning participatory community projects, a Youth Summit and ‘the Macc Plaques’ celebrating real social histories happening next year. As your candidate, I will continue to show the value of working together: supporting community policing, services and initiatives to improve Macclesfield in the face of cuts.

A Real Voice For The Whole Constituency
I have built a profile as someone who takes action, with a ‘You said, We did’ approach to turn people’s ideas into policy. Now I am working with some of the brightest minds to link our brilliant Labour manifesto to the local concerns and issues that we need to address.
I will stand up for the whole area: for rural communities and the towns, of all ages and experiences, from Chelford up to Disley. I will continue to empower ‘non-voters’ engagement and bringing self-employed & business on our side. Persuading our family members, neighbours and colleagues why to vote Labour.
Ensuring that we speak up for our diverse communities, supporting a greater voice and a stake for women, LGBT+ communities and people with disabilities to make a more equal society.
✓ I stand for total transparency & honesty

✓ I stand for change

✓ I will stand for the whole constituency
